PROJECT: Marsh Lane, Hemingford Grey
CLIENT: Private Homeowner
This corner plot in Hemingford Grey consisted of a small bungalow and garage that had been disused for a number of years. In the project we were tasked to make alterations to the existing project to create a larger dwelling with an improved layout.
The design aimed to retain the existing architectural forms of the house and surrounding dwellings whilst also altering the materials of the facade, creating a more characterful building through the use of render and cedar cladding. The plan was developed to create large open living spaces, allowing for views and light to penetrate the building from both the front and rear elevations. The formal lounge is separated from the main space to provide a quieter area for relaxation.
